Education: University of Technology Malaysia, Johor Bahru

Wai Lai received her architectural education at the University of Technology Malaysia. Upon graduation, she worked at SJ Design & Management, then Y Architects Sdn Bhd till end of 2015 when she obtained her professional registration with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia. During her 5 years tenure in Y architects, she completed the refurbishment of Menara Landmark & Double Tree Hotel and Pei Chun School. Later, she formed Wai Lai architect in 2016, specializing in doing boutique refurburnishment. Notable projects include recent completed Kulai IOI mall and Z Hotel in Johor Bahru City Centre.
